Six families will move in their new wooden houses. These were built by the society HLM Habitat du Littoral. The particularity of being built of wood allows earning energy.
Last week, one family moved in its new home, event that was inaugurated by the president of the society HLM. “I have seen the house for the first time one month ago. I was surprised. It is beautiful…On the other hand, the invoice for the energy will be lower”, explains one member of this family. The wood can be stored under the house, because it is built on pillars, concerning the fields` inclination. The isolation assures the comfort during winter and summer. It moderates too high temperature from the outside. These wooden houses present also other advantages. “They are not so heavy anymore, which must be taken into consideration when they are built on pillars and, another advantage, they are built faster, compared to the traditional ones”, says Philippe Charton, the manager of HLM.
Besides this, we can earn because the wooden houses don’t solicit a big quantity of energy.
